چکیده
Background The prognosis of complex primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA) with severe deformity and ligament deficiency is not clear. There a paucity evidence in the current literature on treatment outcomes rotating hinge implants TKA. aim this study was to determine mid-term clinical, radiographic, health-related quality life (HRQoL) patients who had undergone TKA using single hinged replacement. Methods In total, 106 TKAs (101 patients) were performed (RHK) implant design at our institution between January 2004 December 2013. We conducted retrospective analysis prospectively collected outcome data these patients, obtaining also information all possible revision surgeries from Finnish Arthroplasty Register, prospective follow-up living patients. Results 10-year Kaplan-Meier survival rate RHK knees 91.6% (95% CI 86.0% 97.2%) for any reason as endpoint. Overall, eight (7.5 %) underwent surgery during follow-up. None unrevised radiographically loose. majority evinced good clinical measured patient reported measures. Conclusion replacement which assessed can be regarded suitable option TKA, provided adequate attention paid correct indications selection.

Mid-term Results of Single-Radius Cruciate Retaining Total Knee Arthroplasty: Minimum 5 Year Follow-up
PURPOSE The single-radius design of the knee implant was introduced to improve the results of total knee arthroplasty (TKA) by reducing maximum extensor forces, and it also represents more physiologic quadriceps force pattern, which could have a positive effect on knee function after TKA. We studied mid-term results of single-radius designed cruciate retaining (CR) TKA. MATERIALS AND METHODS ...
متن کاملRotating-hinge total knee for revision total knee arthroplasty.
Rotating-hinge knee implants are used for revision total knee arthroplasty in patients with severe ligament instability and bone loss. This study evaluated the outcomes of a series of rotating-hinge knees. Thirty-one NexGen Rotating Hinge Knees (Zimmer, Warsaw, Indiana) were implanted in 29 patients (2 bilateral), with an average age of 72.8 years. Indications for surgery were aseptic loosening...
متن کاملMedium-term results with a primary cemented rotating-hinge total knee replacement. A 7- to 15-year follow-up.
We reviewed 100 cemented Endo-model rotating-hinge (Waldemar Link GMBH & Co, Hamburg, Germany) total knee replacements in 80 patients with a mean age of 70 years (56 to 85) at a mean post-operative follow-up of 11 years (7 to 15). Good or excellent results were seen in 91% of knees and survival at 15 years was 96.1%. There were two deep infections, one dislocation and one supracondylar fracture...
متن کاملOutcome of revision in comparison with primary total knee arthroplasty in Iran
Abstract Background: In the recent decade, many primary total knee arthroplasties have been carried out in Iran and the number of revision cases is expected to rise with the aging population. The aim of this study was to report the outcome of revision surgery in the country and make a comparison between the outcome of revision and that of the primary arthroplasty. Methods: Retrospectivel...
متن کاملRotating Hinge Total Knee Arthroplasty RT-PLUS Solution: A Clinical and Radiographic Follow-Up
Background: In total knee arthroplasty (TKA), there is still controversy surrounding the preferable prosthetic design and required amount of constraint. Indication for rotating hinge TKA includes primary and revision arthroplasty, with contradictory results. We present the first mediumto long-term results with the rotating hinge knee prosthesis RT-PLUS SOLUTION (Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics, Baa...
